Shakespeare's Macbeth Production Play Advertising
We were to come up with a poster, a media kit and a style guide to promote the production of a chosen Shakespeare play in contemporary Singapore. After reading up on various Shakespeare stories, I have decided to work with Macbeth.
To make the content connect better to the local audience, the incense paper burner bin was included in the poster as it holds a heavy Singaporean context and are widely known to Singaporeans. The bin will be usually used to burn offerings for ancestors during the Hungry Ghosts Festival, a prominent occasion held in Singapore yearly.
The pictogram style was chosen as the graphic treatment across this project for its clarity. It is also easily understood across many countries without the need for words.
